Washington Post interviews University of Maryland researcher, Aref Darzi

Aref Darzi, a University of Maryland, College Park, was recently featured in an article in Washington Post. In the article, Darzi discusses the development of the COVID-19 Impact Analysis Platform as well as the conclusions they were able to draw from it throughout the pandemic. Darzi discuss “quarantine fatigue” as well as future plans for the platform.

The COVID-19 Impact Analysis platform was launched in April 2020. It leverages mobile device data to yield a rich array of insights about the pandemic’s impact on mobility, health, the economy, social behavior, and other areas.
