MTI Exhibit Booth and Reception at the 2020 TRB Annual Meeting

Representatives of MTI, an interdisciplinary transportation research hub established at UMD’s A. James Clark School of Engineering in 2017, will be available to share information and discuss emerging research at the world’s largest conference of transportation professionals, to be held from January 13-17 in Washington, D.C. The 98thannual meeting of the Transportation Research Board of the National Research Council of the Academies of Engineering and Science is being held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in the nation’s capital.

MTI will be at Booth 1104 in the Exhibit Hall, launching its “Big Data for Public Good” initiative at the meeting and will co-host—together with UMD’s department of civil and environmental engineering—a reception on the evening of January 13, from 7:30-9:30 pm in Ballroom A at the Washington Convention Center. In addition, MTI-affiliated researchers will deliver more than 50 presentations and lead various committee meetings and workshops at the TRB annual meeting this year.

The annual TRB meeting brings together a wide cross-section of researchers, practitioners and government policymakers engaged in various facets of transportation engineering, planning, design, construction, operation, administration and renewal of transportation systems, facilities and services.
